What Will Skinvive Improve For My Skin ?
SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® is an injectable hyaluronic acid treatment designed to improve the overall quality, hydration, and smoothness of the skin. Unlike traditional dermal fillers that are used to add noticeable volume, contour facial features, or fill deeper folds, SKINVIVE is placed in tiny microdroplets within the skin to create a smoother, healthier, and more radiant appearance.
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that attracts and holds moisture. During a SKINVIVE treatment, a licensed medical provider carefully administers small injections across the treatment area. These microdroplets deliver hyaluronic acid directly beneath the skin’s surface, helping increase hydration within the dermis and improving the way the skin looks and feels.

How The Injections Work
The provider uses a very fine needle to place multiple tiny droplets of hyaluronic acid throughout the treatment area. The product is injected intradermally, meaning it is placed within the layers of the skin rather than deeply beneath the skin for structural volume.
Once placed, the hyaluronic acid attracts moisture and helps improve hydration below the skin’s surface. As hydration improves, the skin may begin to look smoother, softer, healthier, and more radiant. Because the product is distributed in small microdroplets, the goal is an even improvement in skin quality rather than noticeable fullness in one specific area.
Treatment typically involves a series of small injection points. Mild redness, tenderness, swelling, bruising, itching, or small bumps at the injection sites may occur temporarily. Results develop gradually, and individual results vary.
Where Can It Be Injected ?
SKINVIVE is FDA approved to improve cheek skin smoothness in adults over age 21. With optimal treatment, clinical results in the cheeks have lasted through approximately six months. In June 2026, the FDA also approved SKINVIVE for injection within and/or beneath the skin to reduce neck lines and improve the appearance of the neck in adults over age 21.
